Saint-Sorlin-D'Arves - Bad experience

2008 – In our second year of winter sport the group of friends got another composition and as all male friends were new to ski Tom decided to switch from snowboard to ski. That made that we had 3 ladies on snowboard and 5 males on skis. We booked again with Sportura as all went fine in the first year. Sportura was equal to cheap ski holidays including chalet, material, lessons, food and ski-pass. This was the second and last year we went skiing with a bus. I think we paid around 700-800 euro per person all inclusive (except drinks).

Slopes

At this time we were not yet aware of the quality of the villages, the altitude, the quality of the lifts, the slopes and when we overthink this trip again, we still cerise it, but we doubt we would enjoy going back.

As Saint Sorlin D’Arves is a village an lower altitude, the snow is not guaranteed. Back in 2008 we had snow, but not a lot. As we were newbies, we didn’t pay much attention and were already happy to slide down the mountains.

Apres ski

There were again not much possibilities for apres ski in this village. There was another “La Grotte Du Yeti” where we could get cheaper beers if we bought a special card from the organisation. There was some music, we had beers and we had a great time. Nevertheless, when looking back at it today, being used to Austrian apres ski, I don’t think we would enjoy this area once again.
